U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents across the country routinely disregard basic constitutional protections and the human rights of immigrants and U.S. citizens. CBP officers, including border patrol agents, overstep the boundaries of their authority by employing derogatory and coercive interrogation tactics, making racially motivated arrests, imprisoning people under inhumane conditions, and conducting enforcement activities outside border regions. The widespread and repeated abuses demonstrate a fundamental lack of accountability that undermines basic concepts of democratic governance.
This website documents actions taken across the country in an ongoing effort to establish accountability and transparency of one of the fastest growing agencies in the United States. In addition, the website directs readers to additional resources for those seeking to monitor CBP’s disregard of constitutional and statutory rights.
